The drama kicked off and escalated on this series of Married at First Sight when Matt told his wife Gemma that he had feelings for another wife, Whitney, in front of all the other brides and grooms in an explosive dinner party.
At the dinner party, which aired on Tuesday's episode (September 28) Gemma went through all the emotions, storming off, crying, and shouting at Matt and now Matt has revealed that not telling Gemma privately about his feelings for Whitney is his "biggest regret". He has taken to his Instagram to say that production asked him to tell Gemma at the dinner party in front of everyone, rather than privately, and that he regrets this.
Matt said: "If I have any regrets from last night's episode it was that production asked me not to speak to Gemma until the dinner party and stupidly out of frustration I listened."

He added that he and Gemma had been "broke up for a week" when he started developing his relationship with Whitney but admitted telling Gemma in front of everyone was not the right thing to do. He said: "To put somebody in the position of finding out in front of all those people in hindsight its f**king awful, it is absolutely awful. And that bit there, regardless of whether me and Gemma were getting on, that bit there is my biggest regret."
Gemma has revealed she has not spoken to Matt or Whitney since the show ended and that she is planning to contact Ofcom as she believes the show has "faked reality". She said she felt women were being made "victims" on the show and has consistently said that the "narrative" Channel 4 is showing on the series is "not true".
