Married At First Sight's Jessika Power has no regrets about being 'conceited' on show

Jessika Power has gone down in Married At First Sight Australia history as one of the show's biggest villains.

She ruffled feathers on the Down Under edition of the wedding show when she cheated on Mick Gould and stole Tamara Joy's husband Dan Webb.

Despite them both being paired up with other people, Jess, 29, made it clear that she was keen on Dan at the joint dinner parties.

After several secret meetings, they then revealed to the other participants taking part that they wanted to be an item at a commitment ceremony.

They also were allowed to continue on the process as a new couple after Mick and Tamara departed.

Jess' actions made exciting reality TV viewing but viewers were appalled by how she and Dan conducted themselves with no care for the people they were hurting.

And now, Jessika has told that "even though it didn't end well" she has no regrets as she believes it allowed her to learn more about herself.

"I was only 27 when I took part in series six of Married At First Sight Australia, but it ended up being one of the best experiences of my life because it taught me a lot about myself," she told The Sun.

Confessing to being self-centred, she went on: "Even though it didn’t end well it taught me what I needed to fix about myself in order to be in a healthy relationship. I was conceited, pig-headed and thought the whole world revolved around me.

"Watching it back, I thought: 'How could someone love me when it’s clear I don’t love myself?' I was alone for a long time after that because I was healing."

After scenes aired of Dan and Jess' deceit in the UK in 2020, fans were hopeful that the pair - who went on to date outside of the sow before splitting - wouldn't be booted off the series.

One UK fan fumed on Twitter : " #MarriedatfirstsightAustralia PLEASE let's hope the experts do not condone this deceit, betrayal and outright lies by allowing Dan and Jessika to come back in as a couple..."

A second echoed: "You don't give a s**t, Jessika . Nor does Dan . Hurtful, hateful pair who deserve each other #MarriedatfirstsightAustralia."

A third added: "I think Dan and Jessika on married at first sight are just two awful cheats together. Do they not realise people all over the world will watch this. They should be kicked off the programme as this isn’t about cheating at first sight."

A fourth contributed: "Frankly the ones who deserve a second shot to give something a chance are 100% not Jessika and Dan . Nothing like rewarding shit behaviour with giving them exactly what they wanted in the first place #MAFS #MAFSAustralia."

Jess is currently starring on Celebs Go Dating in the UK after dashing out of Australia amid the covid pandemic due to the countries strict rules.
