Married At First Sight's Amy says she struggled at reunion as Josh looked 'so hot'

Married At First Sight ’s Amy Christophers confessed she struggled seeing her ex Josh Christie at the show’s reunion because he looked ‘so hot’.

The sports journalist and former glamour model, 34, was paired up the athlete, 26, for the E4 show, but during the reunion which aired on Monday night, it was revealed Amy and Josh had called time on their relationship.

Attending the reunion alone, Amy admitted she had fallen in love with Josh, but the former couple still bickered and argued throughout the show, and at one point, she broke down in tears as she claimed Josh “doesn't see her worth”.

Opening up about seeing her ex for the first time in months, Amy said she was taken aback by how fit Josh looked.

“I was full of emotions and seeing him again brought all of those feelings back. He had been working out and looked so hot!” she says in this week's Closer.

Amy said she and Josh “worked so hard” on the show to make their relationship work, but as soon as filming finished their relationship fell apart.

She said the distance was an issue, as she lived in Cornwall and Josh was in London, but despite trying to “find a solution to every hurdle we faced”, their romance was doomed.

Amy said she felt like Josh “wasn’t making an effort”, and when he called time of their relationship, she was frustrated when he couldn’t give a “real reason” for their break-up.

But, she said they were on good terms following the split, and Amy confessed she still cares about her former husband “a lot” and wants him to be happy.

“We were portrayed as always rowing but we had a lot of laughs together,” she said, adding that they “still talk every day”.

During her stormy relationship with Josh, Amy observed viewers becoming increasingly hostile towards her on social media.

“I don’t let things get to me, but reading comments attacking my character has been hard,” she candidly shared, as she confessed letting her emotions get the better of her on the show.

The feisty reality star said she was “passionate” about things she believed in, and during the reunion show, she clashed again with Joshas they discussed the details of their break-up.

Breaking down in tears, Amy told the experts she wanted Josh to be The One, and was devastated when she realised it wasn’t working out.

“It's just another guy who's not seeing my worth and doesn't wanna be with me and that really hurts,” she sobbed.

Josh admitted it was a “build of things” that made him want to end the relationship, but when confronted by a visibly annoyed Amy, he said he couldn't remember what it was that made him leave.

"Well it couldn't have been that significant then if you can't remember it,” she snapped.

Amy is now focusing on bigger and better things, and is going to “crack on” with her TV career, and her sports presenting, and promised Married At First Sight viewers that she knows the “man of my dreams” is out there somewhere.
