We’re only a week away from Married At First Sight‘s (MAFS) Final Vows, but producers have one more twist up their sleeves. I’m talking about the first-ever Final Test Week.
Earlier in the season, a bunch of MAFS producers confirmed to PEDESTRIAN.TV that this year’s participants will be going through a new challenge that is set to shake things up between our established couples.
Here’s what we know about the newest MAFS challenge that’s been dubbed Final Test Week.
What is the Married At First Sight Final Test Week?
Naturally, tea surrounding MAFS — especially news surrounding a new challenge — is kept under tight wraps. However, with hot intel from MAFS producer Alexandra Spurway, we can confirm that it will definitely make or break our 2025 couples.
“There is a choice that the individual has to make, and it’s make or break for their relationship,” Spurway said in regards to the disgustingly, delicious plot twist.
“So it tests our couples in a way that makes them think about whether or not they’re going to make it work or yeah on the outside.”
Fellow MAFS producer Josh Walsh doubled down on the drama the Final Test Week is bound to bring, stating, “It has a big impact on at least one or more couples.”

According to 9Entertainment, Final Test Week participants will be handed the “aged-old question, ‘Is the grass greener on the other side?'”.
MAFS expert zaddy John Aiken also revealed that Final Test Week “exposes certain couples in a way we haven’t seen before.”
Is there a trailer for Married At First Sight‘s Final Test Week?
While there isn’t a full-on trailer for the incoming Final Test Week, we did get a taste of who or what it’s all about at the end of the Final Commitment Ceremony.
In the teaser, we see a bunch of our 2025 castmates gush over one of those dreaded challenge letters followed by a bunch of new people (this late in the experiment???) who have seemingly auditioned for this year’s season but were chopped at the final stage.

The cheeky audition tapes are then closed off by more snippets of the 2025 participants reeling over what’s written in the challenge letter.
We still don’t know what the ‘Final Test’ is or what the letter says, but with the hint “is the grass greener on the other side” and the new participants, something is telling me… Couple swap 2.0.
But I guess, we’ll have to wait and see.
Married At First Sight kicks off Monday, January 27, 2025 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
