Mel Schilling appeared on This Morning on Monday, May 1, in a segment which saw her answer dating queries and give out advice to callers seeking love. But before the phone lines opened, Mel, who is a relationship expert and pyschologist on popular E4 programme Married At First Sight Australia and UK, revealed her feelings and the reaction that surrounded Harrison's welcome "take down" last Monday.
After showing a clip from the show - which sees strangers matched and meet for the first time at the alter, 'marrying' in a bid to find love at first sight - in which Mel berated Harrison for feebly claiming he had no recollection of bad-mouthing his wife behind her back - This Morning presenters, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary (who usually host the show on Fridays) couldn't wait to get her thoughts.
Alison asked: "What was your reaction to the... what's been the reaction to the take down of Harrison?"

"It's been incredible. Because this is what our audience want us to do. You know, they are so invested in these relationships and when they see bad behaviour, they want us to call it out," Mel replied.
Alison added: "So you kind of recognise it in your own life. You might see a bit of gaslighting and think, well, I didn't realise it was gaslighting until I saw Married At First Sight. But honestly, it's so good this season."
Speaking of what she loves most about doing the show, Mel told the pair: "What I love the most is exactly what you picked up on there. Where our audience watch the show and go 'oh, that's been playing out in my relationship' or 'I recognise that behaviour and I'm not going to stand for it anymore."
Later in the interview, Mel confirmed that the UK version of the show, which caused some controversy last year when a bride and a groom, who had not originally been matched, had an affair, was returning and currently being filmed. While she couldn't reveal anything about the show - so as not to spoil anything - what she did say was that it was on "a different level".
