Marrying a stranger is a very big risk that the brides and grooms on Married at First Sight Australia have taken. And one bride's wedding turned sour very quickly when her friend had some heartbreaking news about the groom.
Bronte had just married Harrison during the series' first episode on Monday when her friend Jessica revealed some shocking news to her. After recognising Harrison immediately at the altar, Jessica broke the news to Bronte that Harrison had a 20-year-old girl waiting for him on the outside and promised her that he would be returning to her after the experiment.
Jessica said: " I have to tell you something...I have a friend that is from Sydney. She told me about this guy that is going on to Married at First Sight that she has been dating for the last month and a half. She told me that he was saying to her about how he wants to be with her once he finishes his experiment. Babe, it's him. It is Harrison. He has pretty much been planning a future with this young girl."
Jessica also had pictures to prove her claims. A horrified Bronte reacted: "No, no. You are lying...you are lying. What?" At the wedding Bronte then immediately confronted Harrison, to find out the truth.
Awkwardly, Harrison admitted that he had been seeing multiple girls before the show and that he might have told one girl he would reunite with her to "soften the blow" of calling it off. Bronte was not impressed by his confession and later became emotional while telling her sister.
