The Married At First Sight (MAFS) rumour mill is spinning with whispers of an upcoming cheating scandal, and honestly, I don’t think I can handle that much drama in one bloody season… Who am I kidding? I am loving it.
ICYMI, MAFS 2025 has kicked off with a shebaaaaaang! Firstly, we’ve got Eliot Donovan, who ran away from the show after he wasn’t matched with what he wanted. Then we had Tim Gromie who completely gaslit the shit out of Katie Johnstone and treated her like utter crap. Now there are reports of a cheating scandal that’s set to rock the boat.
But before we dive into the alleged MAFS 2025 cheating scandal, just like with all reality TV tea, please take it with a grain of salt because we won’t fully know if it’s legit until it happens!
So, without further ado, here’s what we know so far about the rumoured MAFS 2025 cheating scandal.
According to Daily Mail Australia, MAFS producers are preparing for this year’s cheating scandal which reportedly involves Sierah Swepstone — who’s been matched with Billy Belcher — and Adrian Araouzou — who is MAFS married to Awhina Rutene.
Per the publication, insiders claimed that Sierah and Adrian “formed an unexpected bond” during a night out that took place during their first weekend in Sydney.
After the night out, Adrian and Sierah went back to her apartment where they spent all night getting to know each other while Billy was watching a football match down the hall.
Following their intimate chat, it is reported that days later Sierah and Adrian went out for a dinner date without their MAFS matches knowing. Soon after the alleged date happened, whispers of a cheating scandal began to circulate amongst the cast.
However, it was not until a commitment ceremony that Billy found out about his wife’s connection to Adrian.
“Billy felt completely blindsided,” an anonymous MAFS 2025 cast member dished to Daily Mail Australia.
“Sierah wouldn’t open up to him, but she did with Adrian. And he only found out in front of the rest of us. It was so embarrassing. I felt terrible for him.”
According to the inside sources, Awhina also felt betrayed by her husband’s actions, with an unnamed MAFS 2025 bride telling the publication that Sierah “had every chance” to tell her about the dinner date.
“Awhina and Sierah had spent the whole day together. She knew what she was doing was wrong,” the anonymous bride spilled.
The next morning, Adrian reportedly came clean to Awhina about his link-ups with Sierah.
The rumoured cheating scandal is said to have reached boiling point during a dinner party (lol, are we surprised?) when both Awhina and Billy confronted the duo on their secret rendezvous in front of the other castmates. However, throughout the ordeal, Sierah and Adrian stressed that nothing inappropriate had happened between them.
Instead, it was reported that Adrian claimed he was “simply comforting a distressed castmate” and continued to reiterate that there was nothing suss between them.
The massive tea spill comes right after Adrian was spotted with another woman on Friday night, hinting that his marriage to Awhina didn’t survive beyond the lights, camera and commitment ceremonies.
However, the groom told Yahoo! Lifestyle that the bloke in the photo could’ve been his twin brother James Araouzou and that the mystery woman could’ve been a “girl friend”.
“I mean, it might have been a girl friend, it might have been my brother. Who knows?” he told the publication.
Again, with every piece of reality TV tea, please take it with a grain of salt, but you can’t lie. That cheating scandal is quuuuuuite juicy.
