The Kansas City Chiefs are getting help at wide receiver in the form of Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. The Chiefs activated Brown from injured reserve on Friday, putting him in line to play against the Houston Texans.

The Chiefs signed Brown to a one-year contract in the offseason to bolster their wide receiver corps.
Unfortunately for Brown, he never made it to Week 1. Brown injured his clavicle on the first play of the preseason. Initially believed to be a short-term recovery, Brown’s injury was far more serious than expected.
The Chiefs placed Brown on injured reserve in September.
Now, Brown returns for the final regular season games before the Chiefs begin their quest for a third consecutive Super Bowl.
Brown, 27, played for the Arizona Cardinals last season, recording 51 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns.
Since the Chiefs lost Rashee Rice to a season-ending injury, Patrick Mahomes has been looking for a weapon to stretch the field besides Xavier Worthy. Brown could be that guy and become one of Mahomes’ top pass catchers behind Travis Kelce and DeAndre Hopkins.

After securing the AFC West, the Chiefs (13-1) will be in the postseason. However, Kansas City now has its sights set on the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
The Chiefs currently hold a two-game lead over the Buffalo Bills (11-3) for the top seed.
Kansas City clinches the No. 1 seed in Week 16 with a win over the Texans and a Bills loss. The Bills face the Patriots on Sunday afternoon.
Even if the Chiefs lose to the Texans, Kansas City still controls their own destiny for the No. 1 seed. A loss in Week 16 followed by two wins to close the season means the AFC runs through Arrowhead.
The Chiefs host the Texans (9-5) on Dec. 21 at 1 p.m. ET.
