Marlo Hampton recently announced her departure from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” ahead of Season 16. In a statement to People, Hampton revealed that her contract with the show ended after Season 15 concluded. She expressed her excitement for a fresh start, focusing on new creative entertainment projects that align with her future aspirations rather than dwelling on the past.
Hampton emphasized her commitment to caring for her nephews and highlighted her desire to showcase her multifaceted lifestyle, which includes philanthropy, fashion, and fabulosity. Throughout her time on the show, Hampton used the platform to raise awareness about foster care, promote her non-profit organization Glam It Up, Inc., and feature her fashion showroom, Le’Archive.
Having been a part of the Bravo hit show for several seasons, Hampton was promoted to a full-time “Housewife” status only two years ago for Seasons 14 and 15. Her decision to exit the show comes shortly after Kandi Burruss also announced her departure following 14 consecutive seasons.
While Bravo has not yet revealed the full cast for Season 16, the previous season featured Burruss, Hampton, Kenya Moore, Shereé Whitfield, Drew Sidora, and Sanya Richards-Ross. The remaining cast members have not disclosed their plans for the upcoming season, but it has been confirmed that Porsha Williams will be returning to the franchise after a three-year hiatus.
With the show on a filming hiatus since the conclusion of Season 15 in September 2023, discussions have been ongoing to revamp the cast for the upcoming season. The anticipation for Season 16 continues to build as fans await further updates on the cast and storyline developments.
