Marks and Spencer shoppers 'won't buy a Chinese takeaway again' since trying £5.50 meal

Shoppers have been so blown away by a £5.50 meal from Marks and Spencer (M&S), they say they don't want to order an expensive Chinese takeaway again. An average Chinese takeaway can cost upwards of £25, so M&S' 'delicious' £5.50 meal could potentially save you hundreds by making the swap.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, M&S has launched a Year of the Rabbit box. The product is currently on sale for £11, but because it's for two people, it works out at £5.50 per head.

Each box contains chicken and black bean sauce, crispy sweet and sour chicken, Singapore noodles, egg fried rice, and vegetable spring rolls. Sharing a video of the new box on Instagram, Marks and Spencer said: "Get ready for lunar new year with our Year of the Rabbit box! Tag a friend you'll be sharing this with".

The box has already blown people away so much, they say they won't buy an expensive takeaway after trying it.

Lauren said: "No need to get a takeaway now". While also tagging a friend, Matt said: "Perfect for Friday?"

Lindzi said: "These are the best prefer them over a takeaway", and Nicola said: "Will definitely be trying this". Jane simply said: "Delicious".

You can buy the £11 Year of the Rabbit box at M&S stores now. Stocks may vary.
