Marks and Spencer shoppers say 'gorgeous' outdoor dining range is 'utter perfection'

Marks & Spencer has been praised for a "gorgeous" outdoor dining collection packed full of floral prints to bring a cheerful pop of colour to your garden this summer.

The high street favourite recently announced that it has slashed the price of popular garden chairs down to just £111.75 in its seasonal sale, and has since alerted shoppers to some more deals they can snap up in its outdoor collection. The M&S homeware range includes the likes of dinnerware, lighting, cushions and throws ideal for creating a luxurious outside space to enjoy some al fresco dining in the sunshine.

M&S showed off some of the highlights in the range over on a video on Instagram, which saw home and garden influencer Sarah of @hearts_at_claremont putting together a colourful garden picnic set-up complete with floral plates, candles and string lights to create a romantic and cosy look. Sarah also sported the bestselling Floral Midi Waisted Dress from M&S, leading to many followers asking where they could get the "beautiful" outfit.

And shoppers were equally impressed with the outdoor décor selection. "I have all this dining ware... it's gorgeous!" one person said in the comments section.

"Such a pretty range," someone else wrote.

"Now I just want to live in an M&S house," another fan admitted.

The range includes Floral Picnic Dinner Plates, which currently have 20% off on the M&S website and are priced at £14.40 for a pack of four. The plates have a perfect rating of five stars from shoppers on the M&S website, with one customer writing: "These plates are lovely, happy and summery. Just the exact thing for cheery outdoor dining."

Someone else said: "Fantastic quality plates, look hand-painted. Perfect for picnics in style." You can get matching side plates, cereal bowls and pasta bowls to complete your outdoor dining collection too, all of which have also had their prices reduced by 20%.

The M&S selection also includes a Floral Picnic Jug for £12, as well as matching Floral Picnic Highballs or Floral Picnic Tumblers, both also priced at £12 for a set of four, to add even more colour to your garden dining days. These drinking 'glasses' are made from plastic to avoid any outdoor breakages - just remember not to put them in your dishwasher.

Shoppers can set the table with Seagrass Placemats available in two colours costing £25 for a set of four, and match them with the Rattan Solar Pendant Light for £45 - perfect to light up your garden on summer evenings. The light has a standout five-star rating on the M&S website, with one shopper writing: "I love this, it's so beautiful, gives off lots of light and never fails even on rainy days."

And to add comfort to your outside space, there are the Floral Outdoor Cushions priced at £25 for the pair which have a near-perfect rating of 4.9 out of five stars from impressed M&S shoppers. One person said: "Lovely cushions, very plump and completely waterproof. A lovely way to add a splash of colour to your garden furniture."

M&S is one of many retailers on the high street making sure shoppers are catered for this summer with special offers on a huge range of outdoor furniture and décor. One of the cheapest options out there for anyone who wants to spruce their garden up on a budget is B&M, who are selling picnic plates and tumblers for as little as £1.

Primark is also offering budget dupes of M&S' Twisted Dinner Candles, which are priced at £6 for a set of four - M&S shoppers were less than impressed with these candles, rating them just 2.3 out of five overall with one person saying they "burn down too quickly" and another saying they "drip everywhere". If you want to achieve a similar look for less, Primark's Twisted Dinner Candles come with a price tag of just £1.50 for a pack of two.
