Whether worn over a shirt for a smart-casual look or layered with a jumper for added warmth, this versatile jacket effortlessly elevates any outfit, and is perfect for transitioning through the seasons.
Customer reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, giving the jacket an overall rating of 4.5 stars. One shopper wrote: “Great lightweight jacket - perfect for what I was looking for in the early summer months. Great colour and fits really well.”
Another added: “Nice style, a spring through to autumn wear, goes with shorts, jeans, chinos etc.”
Complete with large patch pockets at the front which pay homage to the original work jacket look, women have been snapping it up for their partners, with one writing: “Partner loves this coat - casual and decent styling. Good quality - wish women's clothing was made to the same quality!”
Another said: “Bought this for my husband and he loves it! Says it’s perfect for this time of year and is smart, casual, comfortable and versatile.”
One even thinks they’ve spotted the jacket on celebrities - if not a very similar style - commenting: “Got the one in navy I’m sure John Torode was wearing one on Masterchef.”
Many have commented on the fashionable yet practical amount of pockets, however, some were left disappointed at the lack of an inner pocket, one writing: “Very happy with the jacket 4 stars due to no inner pocket, otherwise really pleased.”
What’s more is that the jacket is available in an array of sizes, from S to 4XL in the regular fit, with an additional long version for taller wearers.
Priced at £50, it’s a snip of the price of rivals too, with John Lewis stocking a chore jacket for £89.99 in sand and navy shades, while Asket’s overshirt comes in at £130. That said, more lightweight options can be found for less, including Matalan’s £25 tan shacket, and the £28 ASOS DESIGN cotton shacket in stone.
However, at M&S, the retailer currently has an offer which means when shoppers spend £30 online, they can get the M&S Summer Beauty bag for £25. The bag features no fewer than 11 beauty buys from best-loved brands like Clinique, Pixi and Phillip Kingsley, seven of which are full sized, with a total value of £155.
