Marks and Spencer shoppers are ditching Easter Eggs for 'delicious' £5 chocolate snack

People are ditching traditional Easter Eggs for a 'delicious' Marks and Spencer (M&S) treat. The £5 chocolate snack has impressed people so much, they're saying it's the 'best yet'.

Ahead of Easter Sunday, M&S is jam-packed with chocolate treats. There are plenty of delicious M&S Easter Eggs to choose from, including more traditional offerings, as well as eggs shaped like carrots, bunnies and lambs.

But the most popular Easter snack isn't an egg at all. In fact, it's popcorn.

High praise from shoppers came after the high-street giant took to Instagram to share its new Fried Egg Choc Corn, which looks perfect for anyone with a sweet and savoury tooth. Currently priced at £5 in M&S stores, the quirky chocolate slab is made from sweet and salted toffee popcorn that is smothered in white chocolate and topped with a salted caramel filled 'yolk'.

Sharing the new snack to its Food Instagram page, M&S wrote: "MEET the … FRIED EGG CHOC CORN! Sweet & Salted toffee POPCORN, COVERED in white chocolate, TOPPED with soft caramel filled yolk, that looks like a FRIED EGG! EGGCELLENT Easter treat idea."

Multiple chocaholics quickly flocked to the comments section to express their enthusiasm for the "amazing" new treat that they needed the Easter bunny to bring them this year. "It's the best one yet people!!", exclaimed one enthusiastic shopper.

"LOOK AT THAT", raved a second."If the Easter Bunny doesn't bring me this I'm going to be devo", replied an eager third shopper, according to the Daily Record. "Omg this looks amazing", praised a fourth. "STUNNING", added a fifth.
