High street retailer Marks and Spencer has released its own version of a Zara polka-dot dress that went viral back in 2019.
Three years ago Zara's £39.99 polka-dot smock dress became a hit among Instagram influencers and celebrities. In fact it proved so popular that it even had its own Instagram page, Hot 4 The Spot, which documented the dress' whereabouts and accepted submissions from those who stumble across the look.
The versatile dress was seen at sporting events, weddings, shopping and on television when Victoria Derbyshire wore it on the BBC, reports Liverpool Echo. Multiple women even arrived at the same occasion all wearing it.

The dress quickly sold out and while Zara released an alternative, nothing has ever quite matched the original. But as mentioned on ITV's Lorraine, M&S may have lined up a replacement.
Its Polka Dot Collared Midi Column Dress is a dupe for Zara's piece. It features puffed sleeves, a trendy collar and the classic ivory and black polka dot pattern.
The product description for the dress reads: "Lend a whimsical note to your wardrobe with this quaint polka dot column dress. The flowing midi style comes in a regular fit, with puffed 3/4-length sleeves for statement volume.
"A collar with frill trims adds to the charm of this stylish piece. M&S Collection: easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic and contemporary styles."
