Marks and Spencer has finally released its much anticipated Christmas advert and it's already been branded "iconic" by fans.
The famed high street retailer is known and loved for its vast array of quality clothing, accessories, food, household essentials and more. Like many stores, the company is marking the festive countdown with a heart-warming Christmas advert, featuring Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
The legendary British comedy duo shot to fame with the eponymous sketch comedy show, French and Saunders, which originally ran from 1987 until 1993 before being revived in numerous iterations years later. Now, the beloved stars have reunited.

M&S' Christmas food advert premiered today, November 2, and aims to be "one of the most feel-good" ads of the season. Dawn French returns as the fairy from last year's award-winning campaign and is joined by Jennifer Saunders as her new sidekick, Duckie, a beloved - if a little well worn - dog chew toy.
The series of eight ads begins with the appearance of M&S' special Christmas Fairy – voiced by Dawn French – swooping down from her spot on top of the Christmas tree, before setting off on the hunt for a new "very special friend".
Set in a cosy home, Fairy heads straight for a family dog's basket and brings to life a tattered, yet adorable, chew toy. As Duckie comes to life, she finds her voice and is immediately chased by the excited dog, delighted to see his favourite toy awakened.
Fairy works her magic and Duckie learns to fly out of his reach, as they then soar over a Christmas table spread of festive favourites. Dawn French, the voice of Fairy, commented: "I had the time of my life lending my voice to the Fairy that brought Percy Pig to life last year. I was so excited that M&S wanted to bring her back for more adventures and discover more of that amazing food… and, this time with a trusty new sidekick. To have my right-hand-woman back as that sidekick… well, obviously it was a yes with festive bells on from me."
The advert has already been well received by Marks and Spencer fans, who flocked to social media to share their thoughts. Beneath the retailer's Instagram post showcasing the ad, Sheryl said: "What a great Christmas advert with the 2 iconic ladies".
Samantha said: "French and Saunders reunited for an M&S Christmas." Podcaster - and sister of Harry Styles - Gemma Styles simply said: "Iconic".
Poppy said: "Such a great advert lovely and christmassy". Sarah Jane said: "So it's only the 2nd of November and this is officially my fav Xmas advert". Wendy added: "M&S definitely have the best Christmas adverts".
