Reports state that the forward is keen on a return to England after a successful spell in the Premier League. This is not the first time that the 102 cap international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Jose Mourinho reportedly having held an interest during his time at the club.

Meanwhile, Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has consistently been tipped to move to United yet again this summer, though the Daily Express claim that the Serbian midfielder will not be considered as an alternative to Frenkie de Jong. A goalscoring midfielder, he scored 11 goals in Serie A last term and is regularly linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs.
De Jong is United's number one priority as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his midfield options, and it's claimed Milinkovic-Savic will not be considered as a back-up option should United fail to secure a deal for the Dutchman.
