Marked Bristol police car graffitied while officers attended serious assault

A police car was graffitied in Bristol while officers responded to reports of a serious assault. Avon and Somerset Police is appealing for witnesses who may have seen it happen.

Police say officers came back to their marked vehicle from investigating the assault in Cheltenham Road to find graffiti had been sprayed on the passenger-side door. It happened between 5.30pm and 9.45pm on Saturday (March 25).

Investigating officers are now keen to hear from anyone with information. They are also urging people to come forward if they saw anyone acting suspiciously at the time.
