Mark Wright has revealed why he and Michelle Keegan chose the name Palma for their baby daughter.
The Our Girl actress, 37, and former TOWIE star, 38, welcomed their first child together last month, announcing the good news with a sweet black and white snap.
Reports swirled at the time that the couple chose the moniker because of their love for the Spanish resort Palma on the island of Mallorca.
However, Wright rubbished the claims while appearing on This Morning on Friday to promote his Heart FM radio show with Olly Murs.
“That's what the papers say,” he said. “We just love the name, we love the name Palmer with an ‘er’ and then we just liked the way it read, so we just love the name really.”
Wright also revealed the parenting advice Ed Sheeran - who has two daughters - had given him.

Wright and his radio show co-host Murs met Sheeran during a super-fan event in London last week.
“We saw Ed last week, I'm a super fan, and he walked up and went, ‘How are you feeling?’ He said: ‘Trust me, it gets easier,’” Wright recalled.
Wright also talked about fatherhood, admitting that while he finds some aspects challenging, it’s “incredible” overall.
“They say it's the best feeling in the world, they're not wrong,” the TV personality enthused.
Wright’s appearance on This Morning comes just days after he enjoyed a lavish country getaway with Keegan and Palma at the weekend.
The couple headed to the exclusive member’s club and hotel, Soho Farmhouse, in Oxfordshire.
Keegan posted a snap of herself cradling Palma on the wooden deck of their hotel suite, which overlooked a lake at the Chipping Norton bolthole, with the caption: “A little break away filled with special memories.”
In the carousel, she also included a snap of Wright cuddling Palma in bed, the couple posing for a selfie, and shots from the grounds of Soho Farmhouse, which boasts a pool, spa, and gym.
Wright shared similar snaps on his own Instagram, captioning them: “In my Dad era…. trip away with my girls.”
The duo - who married in 2015 - welcomed Palma on March 6.
Sharing a photo of their hands clasping the newborn’s tiny hand, they wrote on Instagram: “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl. Palma Elizabeth Wright 06.03.25.”
