Mark Wright gives fans fresh update on 'dream' addition to his and Michelle Keegan's £3.5m mansion

Mark Wright has given fans a much anticipated update on a dream addition to the £3.5 million mansion he shares with wife Michelle Keegan. The former The Only Way is Essex star and ex-Coronation Street actress, who married in 2015, bought a mock-Tudor style house in Essex back in October 2019 and began knocking it down in 2020.

Since then the couple have taken fans along with them on the journey to building their very own luxury, Georgian-style mansion. The pair have been keeping their fans up to date with the progress on their dedicated home Instagram account @wrightyhome, which has now amassed more than 565,000 followers.

The 35-year-old TV personality and actress moved into their dream above in September last year but have since been adding the finishing touches - including their incredible resort-like garden.

The former semi pro footballer and former Corrie star have previously showed off the transformation of their huge paved grey driveway, fully equipped gym, walk-in wardrobes and living areas of their property.

The couple also shared their ambitions plans for their outdoor space, which is set to feature a giant pool, in-water loungers, sunbeds and two seating areas with fire pits.

And it looks as though the pool is now taking shape, as Mark has given fans a glimpse of the foundations of the pool.

Speaking on his Instagram story whilst showing off the progress so far, Mark said: "Here's a pool update. The pool has been sunken in obviously. One Pool and Spa have absolutely smashed it.

"It has all been back-filled, it's been landscaped and we are now onto the pool which is the last bit.

"We're starting the slabbing and two rows are nearly done, so it will match all of this [the patio]. It's the last little bit to be done now.

"Finally you can see the levels and you can see the pool in place and how it is going to look. Can't wait."

Despite the mammoth task with their dream home in the UK, Mark and Michelle clearly like a challenge as they also purchased an apartment on the Balearic Island.

Uploading a video to Instagram earlier this year, he captioned it: "30 hour drive to Mallorca, and 2.5 weeks to completely refurb an apartment, that was left to be done last year and turned in to building nightmares.

"As they say, if you want it done Wright, then DIY!" He went on to explain: "If you know me you know that one side of my business life is property development. Just over a year ago I bought an apartment in Mallorca and I left some Spanish builders to deal with it. And let's just say... a nightmare, is exactly what it was."

But all that can be forgotten now as the project is now completed, with the property giving stunning views of the sea from the balcony.
