Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan are reportedly eyeing up a move to Los Angeles despite ongoing renovations on their epic Essex mansion.
The couple bought the mock Tudor mansion in 2019 for £1.3 million, but bulldozed the original property to make way for their £3.5 million mega mansion, which features a swimming pool and stunning gardens.
However, as Mark has been based in LA for work over the last two years, he and Michelle have fallen in love with the city, and are contemplating moving over there full-time.
The loved-up couple were recently spotted enjoyed a romantic break in LA, and they’re now thinking about upping sticks and leaving Essex.
“It felt like a new beginning - this is them working as a unit. Mark loves working there, while he’s had a bit of stick with work here,” a source told new! magazine.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star was forced to deny reports he had been banned from working with ITV after he dropped out of taking part in their upcoming show The Games.
While ex-Coronation Street star Michelle has seen her career go from strength to strength since she left the cobbles, and has won critical acclaim for her roles in Our Girl and Brassic.
“We’ll see them out there a lot more. They’re quite happy to be out of the spotlight and away from all the stress of their home renovations,” they added.
The work on their Essex mansion is still ongoing, and the huge redevelopment project, which Mark has teased on social media, is scheduled to finish later this year, meaning the couple can finally move into their dream home.
However, the Heart Radio presenter also has his sister Jessica expecting her first child this year, and brother Josh has just become a first-time dad, leaving Mark “torn” over a decision to leave the UK for America.
The couple’s short-term plans will see them based in the UK anyway, as Mark revealed he will be filming a new show for ITV this summer.
He made the announcement as he was forced to deny he had been blacklisted by ITV bosses following his exit from The Games.
It was reported he had texted a producer to pull out of the show at the last-minute, but Mark slammed the rumours.
“The show I had quit I hadn't even signed a contract for! I called the producer (not text) to tell her I had a change of heart on the show as I realised I had too many work commitments in place to make it work,” he fired.
