mark wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg recently shared his deep affection for his canine costar Ukai while promoting his new film Arthur the King. The actor expressed his love for the dog, revealing that he even tried to convince the trainer to sell Ukai to him. Wahlberg's bond with Ukai was so strong that he wanted to bring the pooch home, a sentiment shared by his children who also grew fond of the adorable costar.

Wahlberg reminisced about the wonderful moments he had on set with Ukai, describing their connection as amazing. He particularly cherished the scenes where they worked together emotionally, especially during the pivotal race to save Arthur in the movie.

Arthur the King is based on the true story of Mikael Lindnord and his dog Arthur, who met during an adventure race in Ecuador. Wahlberg plays the character Michael Light, inspired by Lindnord, alongside Ukai as Arthur, in this epic endurance race film.

Wahlberg and Ukai recently collaborated on a PSA advocating for pet adoption, emphasizing the importance of providing loving homes for animals in need. The actor highlighted the impact of adoption and encouraged viewers to consider adopting dogs from shelters.

Arthur the King is set to hit theaters on March 15, offering audiences a heartwarming tale of friendship and resilience between a man and his loyal four-legged companion.
