Mark Ronson rushed to A&E after being injured at a gig

Mark Ronson has revealed he had to be rushed to hospital after sustaining a painful sounding injury during a gig.

The DJ and producer, 49, took to Instagram to share a health update from his hospital bed.

Uploading an image of himself giving the thumbs up to the camera while dressed in a hospital gown, the Uptown Funk hit-maker told his 1m followers: "That time the house PA was so bad that I tried to one-hand turn the stage monitor towards the crowd mid-mix to give them some extra juice. Turns out they weigh more than I thought…Two popped bicep tendons and one finished gig later, here we are, baby! #tornthisway.”

His celebrity friends rushed to send him their best wishes and get well vibes in the comments.

“Oh no!! Get well soon - love the hashtag though,” wrote Interior Design Masters host Alan Carr, followed by a kiss.

“Get well soon,” penned Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre, along with a red heart emoji.

While Drew Elliot, the Global Creative Director of MAC Cosmetics added: “Always putting the audience first. Feel better.”

Ronson’s emergency comes days after he announced that he’s set to release a memoir titled Night People, which will explore his formative years as a DJ in 90s New York.

It documents the Valerie musician's journey from being an outsider after moving from London to New York as a child to finding his space in the city's club and hip-hop scene.

Speaking about putting pen to paper for the project, he said: “DJing in 90s New York City informed everything I ever did after, becoming the foundation for all my future work and creativity.

"In ‘Night People,’ I wanted to capture that transformative period of my life and celebrate three of my great loves: the art of DJing, the thrilling energy of New York City after dark, and the wild and wonderful characters who populated our world and became my second family.

"This book is my love letter to a vanished era that shaped not just my career but my identity—a time when finding my craft put me on the path to finding myself.”

On the personal front, his wife Grace Gummer, who is the daughter of actress Meryl Streep, is currently pregnant with their second child.
