Mark Owen unrecognisable as he reunites with Take That bandmates ahead of new solo project

Mark Owen has been showing off a new look as he reunited with his Take That bandmates. And the location couldn't have been further from Manchester, or the UK as they appeared in Cannes.

He joined Gary Barlow and Howard Donald at the photocall of their upcoming film Greatest Days during the 75th annual Cannes film festival at Majestic Beach Pier.

The film is set to be based on the Manchester group's jukebox musical The Band, which made its world premiere at the Manchester Opera House in September 2017, before embarking on a UK and Ireland tour and appearing at Theatre Royal Haymarket at London's West End in December 2018.

Gary, Howard, and Mark released a statement about news of the film, by Calendar Girls writer Tim Firth, back in April 2020 and the new 'Take That' were spotted for the first time as filming began up north on band's film last month.

The story will follow five best friends who have the night of their lives while at the concert of their favourite boy band. The group then reunites after 25 years, reminiscing on their past as they go down life's different paths. It is set to star comedian and actress Aisling Bea.

On Wednesday (May 18), Mark 50, attended the star-studded event alongside his bandmates and while Gary and Howard looked the same as we remember them, Mark looked totally different when he arrived.

His new look will come as a surprise to fans as he rocked up to one of film's most-anticipated events modelling a moustache with his long hair being blown by the breeze as he donned a huge pair of white sunnies on his face.

The singer was seen posing for photographs in a pair of striking white trousers and matching boots, with a pastel blue blazer over a patterned shirt.

His appearance in the resort town on the French Riviera comes as he presses ahead with his latest solo project. The singer has released his first solo single in almost a decade, You Only Want Me, from his upcoming album, Land of Dreams. The track, which marks his first new music since his 2013 LP The Art of Doing Nothing, was given its radio debut on Thursday morning (May 19).
