Stephen Robinson is hopeful Mark O'Hara will be back fit to play for St Mirren against SK Brann on Thursday.
The Paisley club captain was not involved in the opening day win over Hibs in the Scottish Premiership through injury.
O'Hara - who had been a standout against Valur in the UEFA Conference League win on Thursday - felt a niggling issue during a cool-down session on Saturday.
Robinson opted not to risk his captain and is crossing his fingers the midfielder will return when Norwegian side Brann head to Paisley this week.
“We hope so. It was nothing major. He had a little niggle in training yesterday when we were just doing a cool-down.
“We didn’t think we could risk him and it shows the level of the squad that we can make those decisions now. Hopefully, he will be available."

Mika Mandron also returned to the squad as a second-half sub and could be in contention to start against Brann.
"Mika will hopeful be available from the start," said Robinson of his number nine. "He had an epidural in his back so he wasn’t quite ready to start the game today – which he probably would have done.
“And a lot of boys will be better for that game. Jonah Ayunga will be better after a long time out, the boys who came on, Dennis another 60-70 minutes so we’re hoping that we will have a fully fit squad outwith the two longer-term injuries.”
Scott Tanser's substitution at the break was tactical due to the booking he picked up against Martin Boyle in the first half and is not an injury concern.
