Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows faced setbacks in his attempts to move his criminal cases related to the 2020 election to federal court. The judge denied his request in Arizona, which could have potentially led to the charges being dismissed more easily. Similarly, his bid to transfer the case in Georgia to federal court was also unsuccessful.

Meadows, along with 17 other associates of former President Donald Trump, including fake electors and individuals linked to his campaign, were indicted earlier this year for their roles in trying to overturn the 2020 election results. Despite the charges, Meadows has maintained his plea of not guilty.
