A Perth man who allegedly threatened to kill Premier Mark McGowan and urged a violent overthrow of the government is back behind bars for allegedly creating new social media profiles.
Counter-terrorism police allegedly found evidence of the profiles when examining Jamon Allan Hartzer's phone as part of a bail compliance check.
He was arrested on September 7 and remanded to appear in a Perth magistrates court on Friday, federal police said.
Hartzer, 43, was arrested in October 2021 for allegedly threatening various public officials including Mr McGowan, amid heated debate about COVID-19 restrictions, vaccine mandates and border closures.
The Perth man is charged with four offences including making threats to kill, injure or harm any person and urging violence against the constitution.
The latter charge encompasses the intentional urging of others to overthrow the federal constitution or governments by force or violence. The maximum jail term is seven years.
Federal police say there is no ongoing threat to the community relating to the investigation into Hartzer.
Mr McGowan closed his electorate office in November due to death threats against he and his staff.
