Mark McGhee takes in Celtic clash with desktop setup as debuting Dundee boss serves touchline ban

Dundee boss Mark McGhee took in his first game from the stands against Celtic -with a bizarre set up at Parkhead.

The Premiership side sacked James McPake on Wednesday with the Dark Blues just a point off the bottom of the table.

McGhee was swiftly appointed as the replacement for the new boss, taking charge of his first Premiership fixture in Glasgow's east end.

But he wasn't in the dugout for the clash having been given a six-game suspension back in 2017 for an incident when he was Motherwell manager.

He was involved in a verbal exchange with an Aberdeen supporter that escalated into a further argument with the referee and fourth official.

He was relieved of his duties at Fir Park before the ban was issued, so is now serving it after taking charge of Dundee.

As he took in the game at Celtic Park, the manager was spotted in the stands alongside his new colleagues.

While some may have opted to bring their laptops as part of their analysis, McGhee was spotted with a full desktop.

Dundee coaches Simon Rusk and Dave Mackay took the team for the Celtic clash for the relegation-threatened side.
