Mark Lawrenson has backed Liverpool to pick up their third consecutive win when they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this lunchtime (12:30pm).
Forest played out a goalless draw on the south coast against Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, but are in dire need of a win to lift themselves from bottom of the table. Jurgen Klopp's Reds, meanwhile, have had a mixed start to the season, currently 11 points from leaders Arsenal in seventh place.
Former Liverpool defender Lawrenson believes Liverpool will continue to rise in terms of performances after recently picking up an encouraging win over Manchester City.

"Forest have only won one game this season but they did get a good point during the week," Lawrenson told Paddy Power. "Liverpool are not anywhere near back to their best but they’re starting to rise in terms of the table and level of performances.
"They could have won easier against West Ham but in the end they needed Alisson to save that penalty. I think they’ll win here for sure."
Lawrenson's prediction: Nottingham Forest 0-2 Liverpool.
