Mark Lawrenson makes bold Nottingham Forest prediction ahead of Leicester City clash

Mark Lawrenson reckons Nottingham Forest can produce another FA Cup upset against holders Leicester City on Sunday.

The two teams will face off for the first time since a 2-2 draw in the Championship back in 2014.

Forest will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Cardiff last weekend as they face Premier League opposition in the FA Cup for the second round in a row.

The Reds knocked out 14-time winners Arsenal in the previous round with a 1-0 win at the City Ground in January.

And Steve Cooper's side will have to produce a similar performance if they are to knock out current holders Leicester this weekend.

BBC Sport pundit and former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has predicted Forest to do exactly that on Sunday as he believes the Reds will win on penalties following a 1-1 draw.

Speaking to BBC Sport, he said: "This is a tough trip for Leicester, even though they will have some players back from the Africa Cup of Nations.

"These two teams are still big rivals, even though they haven't played each other for eight years, and Nottingham Forest have already knocked out one of the big boys by beating Arsenal in round three.

"Forest are playing well under Steve Cooper in the Championship too, and I am going with an upset here in front of a full house and the BBC cameras."

Forest's impressive rise under Cooper has seen the Reds challenge for a play-off spot in the Championship this season.

Forest have gone from bottom of the table to challenging for a place in the top-six since the former Swansea boss took over from Chris Hughton in September.

They travel to Blackburn on Wednesday following Sunday's fixture against Leicester.
