Nottingham Forest are being told that they've "got too many players" after their summer transfer business and that head coach Steve Cooper doesn't know what his best team is at the moment.
The Reds have already given minutes to 24 players across their opening seven matches of the season, with summer signings Serge Aurier, Loïc Badé and Omar Richards all still yet to make their debuts. Of those, Alex Mighten has, though, since joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the season, while Cafú was left off of the club's final 25-man Premier League squad before the international break.
Still, Cooper has plenty of options at his disposal ahead of the resumption of top-flight action against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Monday night. That, though, is being predicted to be enough to avoid a fifth straight defeat for Forest, according to Mark Lawrenson.

"Forest have been competitive, but they’ve probably got too many players! It sounds daft, but they’ve got so many players that they don't know at the moment what their best team is," Lawrenson told Paddy Power. He added: "I’ll go for Leicester to get their first win of the season," predicting that the final score will read 2-1, meaning the Reds could find themselves bottom of the league by Tuesday morning.
