Interim manager Mark Hudson hailed Cardiff City's never-say-die attitude as they earned a draw against Burnley, who he believes are the best team in the league.
Nathan Tella scored just moments into the second half and it looked as though the Clarets would take all three points away from Cardiff City Stadium. However, Callum Robinson popped up in the last minute of the allotted 90 minutes to head home his first goal and earn City a draw.
Hudson spoke of his pride at being asked to take charge of the Bluebirds on a temporary basis ahead of the match and it's fair to say he relished his 90 minutes on the touchline against Burnley.
"I really enjoyed it," he said of the match. "Let's focus on the team. I thought you saw fight, togetherness against the best team in the league.
"To a man, subs coming on, everyone was together and that's what we saw today. You saw in the second half, going a goal down the way we did, there was a positive mental attitude from everyone coming on.
"Subs came on and gave us an impetus going forward and it gave us our just rewards with a goal."
Hudson has had a fortnight to implement his own ideas and his own style on the players. For the most part, it looked like very little had changed, with Cardiff still struggling to create clear-cut chances in the final third.
But, as a jumping-off point, Hudson was largely pleased with how the players carried out the instructions they were given by their new manager ahead of the clash.
"They carried out 99 percent of what I asked of them," he added. "They are a team who moves around and their rotations are really good. Their ball speed is excellent and they have some top players.
"You are going to have to put your body on the line and I think they did that. They carried out the game plan and there was some urgency in our play.
"The goal, we can maybe reassess that to look at what we did slightly wrong leading up to that goal. But they are things we will work on going forward.
"I really do think they are the best team in the league and we have gone toe to toe with them. We could easily go under but we didn't. We kept fighting and we kept creating opportunities. Yeah, we can maybe take more care in the final third, but Robbo deserves his goal and that ball in is perfect."
Robinson, who was WalesOnline's star man in the player ratings, ran his lungs empty from minute one.
He had a golden opportunity to score against Huddersfield Town but missed a crucial penalty in the clash, which proved to be Steve Morison's last as City fell to defeat.
But, against Burnley, he deserved his goal and Hudson was chuffed for the striker after netting the equaliser.
"He's been away, he's travelled. He's a great signing and he's a great, great kid," Hudson said of Republic of Ireland international Robinson.
"But the players who came off the bench. You look at Andy and I had to have a tough conversation with him yesterday. He came on and was fantastic for 30 minutes.
"It's his first game at home and his first goal in open play, it puts that penalty to bed. I hope he gets many more going forward."
