Mark Cuban Calls Out Elon Musk on Twitter After a Snide Political Tweet

Elon Musk has never shied away from talking politics.

The tech billionaire has often discussed something he calls the "Woke Mind Virus," a concept tied to cancel culture that serves to suppress free speech.

In the wake of a May 23 article by The Atlantic that called Twitter a "far-right social network," Musk began to fire back, eventually catching the attention of Shark Tank investor Mark Cuban.

DON'T MISS: Mark Cuban Thinks Elon Musk Is Planning Something

Responding to a Tweet from Musk that explained how the "intolerant left is driving people right," Cuban disagreed, saying instead that "people are tired of tribalism."

Though Musk has said that he wants Twitter to be politically neutral, something that means "upsetting the far right and the far left equally," the Anti-Defamation League, not long after his purchase of Twitter in October, found that several decisions made under Musk's eye -- selling the Blue Check and granting amnesty to suspended accounts -- have "empowered extremists."

Ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson announced earlier in May that he will be bringing his show to Twitter; self-described "right-of-center media" company The Daily Wire made a similar announcement May 23.

And Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, will be announcing his presidential candidacy in an interview with Musk on Twitter spaces May 24.
