Marit Bouwmeester of the Netherlands made history in Olympic sailing by clinching her fourth medal, securing the women's dinghy gold. Despite finishing fourth in the delayed medal race, Bouwmeester's 38 points were sufficient for her to claim another Olympic title.

At 36 years old, Bouwmeester now boasts an impressive collection of two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. Her previous gold medal was won eight years ago in Rio, solidifying her status as one of the most successful female sailors in Olympic history.

The silver medal in the women's dinghy event went to Denmark's Anne-Marie Rindom, who accumulated 61 points. Norway's Line Flem Hoest secured the bronze with 75 points, rounding out the podium.

On the men's side, the dinghy race was abruptly halted midway due to inclement weather conditions. Race control intervened as the sailors were approaching the third mark, signaling a temporary suspension of the race. Sources indicate that the rescheduled race has been postponed due to ongoing weather concerns.
