Marie Flanigan's collection with Annie Selke marries 'artistry with beautiful quality and craftsmanship' – it will encourage you to decorate with patterns

Marie Flanigan.

Exciting news for those who love Marie Flanigan's chic and versatile decor sensibilities: the Houston, Texas-based interior designer has partnered with Annie Selke for a new collection, just in time for spring.

Having previously partnered with the home goods brand, the latest drop features brand-new rug designs, bedding, and even curtains, all of which are made of durable and luxe materials (and encourage us to decorate with patterns).

'The team at Annie Selke really shares the same values as I do as a company,' Marie says in a clip shared to her Instagram page. 'They have such a beautiful way of marrying artistry with beautiful quality and craftsmanship. I bring my aesthetic to the table, and they create magic.'

The new accessories come in subtle patterns and textures, ranging from the delicate, pewter blue florals on the Margot curtain panels to the tartan charcoal coverlet; the collection is brimming with prints that even the most pattern-averse of us can get behind.

'My advice for anybody who is scared to incorporate pattern into their home would be to start with textiles,' Marie states in the video, encouraging us to experiment with these patterned pieces. 'I think your bed is a really beautiful place to start layering in. I like to start with a foundational, textural solid and then layer in pattern and a little bit of color through a matelasse, a duvet, or even through shams on the bed.'

She continues, 'Another way I love to incorporate patterns and textures is just through pillows. By starting to introduce them to upholstery and different areas throughout the room. The pattern actually brings a beautiful texture to any room.'

The collection is available to shop now on the Annie Selke website, and you can find our favorite picks below.

Try mixing and maxing patterns and textures for some subtle clashing; the plush rugs would look fantastic paired with the floral curtains, while the plaid coverlet would contrast well against the floral shams.
