Margot Robbie reckons she needed a bit of Dutch courage to prepare for her iconic Wolf of Wall Street nude scene.
The Aussie actress, 32, whipped off her clothes in the hit movie in which she starred as Naomi Lapaglia alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Speaking during a BAFTA: A Life In Pictures recording, the Neighbours star revealed how she prepared for the now famous scene.
“I’m not going to lie, I had a couple of shots of tequila before that scene because I was nervous - very, very nervous," Margot admitted.
The film was an instant smash in the box office, netting millions of dollars after it release, however the actress thinks she thought her role would be largely forgettable.
“Honestly, I know it sounds silly now, knowing how big the movie became, at the time I thought, ‘No one is going to notice me in this film," she mused.
“‘It kind of doesn’t matter what I do in this film because everyone is going to be focused on Leo [DiCaprio] and everything’.
“And I was just kind of like, ‘I’ll slip under the radar’.”
Margot was just 22 when she filmed the role and revealed she felt comfortable "riffing" with the script.
The actress claims she was told she'd been given more screen time by director Martin Scorcese the 'crazier she got', admitting her performance was a real "sink or swim situation".
Despite his penchant for great cinema, Martin reportedly offered to 'dilute' Margot's nude scene.
However, the actress said getting naked was necessary for the role.
Speaking to the The Telegraph in 2014, she said: "I think it's disgusting when someone would have got naked in real life, in the film they conveniently leave their bra on, or hold up the bed sheet.
"The whole point of Naomi is that her body is her only form of currency in this world.
"So when Marty was trying to help me out, and said in the scene where she seduces Jordan perhaps I could have a robe on, I said she wouldn't. She has to be naked."
The film propelled Margot into the stratosphere as she soon established herself as a Hollywood star.
Soon after the Wolf of Wall Street she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding in the biopic I, Tonya.
Margot then went on to bag more critically acclaimed roles as Queen Elizabeth I in the period drama Mary Queen of Scots, Sharon Tate in the comedy-drama Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and a fictional Fox News employee in the drama Bombshell.
