Margot Robbie looks visibly upset as she leaves home of friend Cara Delevingne

An emotional Margot Robbie appeared to look distressed as she left the home of actress and friend Cara Delevingne amid worries over her health.

On Wednesday, the Australian actress held her hand to her face and seemed to wipe away tears as she got into a car outside her Suicide Squad co-star's LA home.

There have been reports of growing concern's among the friends and family of Delevingne over her well-being, following public incidents and no-shows at events.

The 30-year-old model and actress first worried fans earlier this month, when she was pictured at Van Nuys Airport while sitting on a bench shoeless with dishevelled hair.

It was reported that Cara had been kicked off a plane, as she smoked a cigarette and appeared to be in distress. Her London based sister Poppy Delevingne was also pictured at her home this weekend in Los Angeles.

Days before the airport images, Cara was also pictured sitting alone in a car smoking what appeared to be a pipe of some kind.

On Monday, Cara was nowhere to be seen at an event celebrating the launch of her own fashion collection - with the Only Murders in the Building actress also a no-show at the Emmy Awards, which many of her co-stars attended.

Cara's close friend Margot appeared to be struggling to remain composed as she departed the model's $7m West Hollywood house on Monday at around lunchtime, before jumping into a waiting car to take her to Los Angeles International airport for a flight later in the day.

The Oscar-nominated Wolf of Wall Street actress clung to a what appeared to be a plastic bag full of toiletries, as she held her hand to her face and seemed downbeat It is not yet clear if Cara was home at the time of Margot's visit, in photos obtained by the MailOnline.

The sighting of Cara's Suicide Squad co-star leaving her home comes just one month on from the pals celebrating the model's 30th on a lavish yacht trip off Formentera, Spain alongside the star's other friends and loved ones.

Speaking to MailOnline about Cara's Spanish bash at the time, a source claimed: "She was more messy out there than she had been in a while but says she is OK, fine about turning 30 and having a great time."

Earlier this month, Cara was said to have continued the celebrations at the Burning Man festival - with insiders claiming the Paper Towns actress spent days in the desert not eating much and skipping showers as she partied.

Margot's visit on Monday follows Cara's sister Poppy - who lives in London - being spotted leaving her sibling's home in Los Angeles on Friday night. She was then spotted on Saturday at a skin care studio in West Hollywood.

Poppy is said to have told reporters that her sister was "doing fine" after being asked about the model's wellbeing. Over recent weeks, Cara's loved ones have reportedly been planning an intervention to encourage the actress to get help.

"We are all incredibly concerned. The situation has been building for a few weeks now, and Cara's family is involved," a family friend told The Sun.

They added: "There is talk of staging some kind of intervention and making sure Cara gets the help she may well need. She has been burning the candle at both ends of late, and it's clearly taking its toll."
