Margaritaville at Sea offering new ship-to-resort experience

Like his music, Jimmy Buffett’s cruise line Margaritaville at Sea is all about helping people embrace the island state of mind. Its ships are known for their laid-back, party vibe where changes in latitudes bring changes in attitudes.

Launched in 2022, the cruise line set out to offer a floating island vacation at sea, initially offering easy-breezy getaways from Port of Palm Beach, Florida to Grand Bahama Island on Margaritaville at Sea Paradise.

When Paradise docks in Freeport, passengers can explore Grand Bahama Island with a variety of shore excursions or set off on their own island adventure. If you just want to kick back and keep the Margaritaville experience going though, you’ll have to stay on board the ship.

For some sailings on Paradise, that’s about to change. As Margaritaville at Sea expands its itineraries for 2025, offering longer sailings and a new Bahamas port of call, the cruise line is also introducing a new way for passengers to continue “wastin’ away again in Margaritaville” off the ship.

When Margaritaville at Sea Paradise begins sailing to Nassau in January 2025, passengers will have the option to continue the Margaritaville experience onshore through an exclusive partnership with Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau.

Margaritaville at Sea launches new “Sail and Splash” Nassau getaways

The new ship-to-resort experience, Sail and Splash: Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau, will give Paradise passengers priority access to the resort. With this new add-on cruise shore excursion option, passengers can enjoy the laid-back Margaritaville lifestyle both at sea and on land in Nassau.

A 10-minute walk from the cruise port, Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau offers a variety of water activities, a private beach with umbrellas and chairs, and restaurants and bars where it’s always 5 o’clock. The resort’s Fins Up! Water Park features a FlowRider boogie board simulation, lazy river, water slides, and multiple pools.

Sail and Splash Nassau getaways will be offered for two-, three- and four-night cruises on Margaritaville at Sea Paradise that include calls to Nassau.
