The Baltimore Ravens selected cornerback Nate Wiggins with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Baltimore fell in love with his speed and competitiveness, and he should have a pathway to playing a decently sized role on the Ravens’ defense in Year 1.
Wiggins is already impressing teammates as Baltimore training camp is set to kick off in a few weeks. Safety Marcus Williams raved about Wiggins’s speed, saying that he believes the rookie will be a good player for the team.
“Man, [Nate Wiggins] is fast. He’s in and out of breaks. I think he’s going to be a good player for us. This has just been OTAs [organized team activities], but you see him flying around already. Once these pads come on, we’ll see a little bit more of what he can do, so I’m excited for that.”
Wiggins will slot behind fellow cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey and Brandon Stephens in the rotation to start the year. However, the team can use the speedy rookie in specific matchups with faster players and use all three cornerbacks together on the field.
