Marcus Rashford has appeared on the cover of a special edition of the Beano today as the guest editor of the beloved children's comic. Starring alongside Beanotown favourites Dennis and Minnie, and donning the editor's t-shirt, the Manchester United forward urged children to "find their voices" and "celebrate all things that make each of us unique".
The campaigner, who has spoken out over child food poverty and lobbied the Government over school meal vouchers, also makes several appearances throughout the edition. He appears alongside popular characters including the Bash Street Kids, Billy Whizz and Bananaman.
In the editor's letter, Rashford says: "Reading is one of my favourite things to do because it lets me dream. I see myself achieving so much more and I’m motivated to give new things a try.

"Reading is my true escape. My peace and everyone should have the opportunity to find the joy in books, magazines, audiobooks or even this extra-special edition of Beano - my Beano!"
The special edition is available in partnership with NatWest’s Thrive programme, set up with Rashford to help six to 16-year-olds become more financially confident and realise their full potential. Beano will also donate 20p for every issue sold at the newsstand to the Marcus Rashford Book Club created with the National Literacy Trust and Macmillan Children’s Books.
