Welcome to the United On My Mind daily round-up, where we take a look at some of the best Manchester United stories that you might have missed.
Marcus Rashford seems to love playing at the Parc des Princes and his exploits in the French capital haven't gone unnoticed by Paris Saint-Germain.
Premier League strugglers Newcastle have been courting Jesse Lingard throughout the January transfer window and they've not given up hope of signing him this month.
And finally, Ralf Rangnick is understood to be open to the idea of letting four United players leave as he looks to afford Anthony Elanga more of a chance in the senior side.
Rashford attracting interest from PSG
According to transfer specialist Abdellah Boulma (via 90min ), PSG have been in contact with Rashford over a summer move as they prepare for Kylian Mbappe's expected exit.
The report adds that the United forward is "being seduced" by the idea of moving to the Ligue 1 outfit, with the prospect of playing alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar no doubt proving particularly exciting.
Our view : I'd be absolutely devastated to see Rashford leave United.
We all know about the great work he's done off the pitch over the last few years, but even putting his philanthropy to one side he still has a lot to offer United.
I'd be surprised to see the club entertain any offer for him but you just never know.
Lingard limbo
Newcastle have been heavily linked with a move for Lingard this month as they look to bolster their ranks in a bid to avoid relegation.
Talks between the two clubs over a deal looked to have reached an impasse, but David Ornstein has now told Sky Sports a move could still happen.
"I think Jesse Lingard is still going to leave Manchester United this month," Ornstein said on Lingard's current situation. "I still think something might happen with Newcastle before the deadline. But that is a guess!"
Our view : United have got to cut ties with Lingard this month.
As much as he's become a fans' favourite and everyone wants to see him succeed at the club, with just 6 months remaining on his deal United can't afford to run the risk of losing him for free in the summer.
Ruthless Rangnick
The emergence of Elanga has been one of the highlights of Rangnick's time at the helm of United and it seems the German boss is keen to afford his young star more opportunities to showcase his talents.
According to ESPN, Rangnick has been so impressed by Elanga that he’s willing to let four players leave this month as a show of faith in the youngster's ability.
Our view : United would be much better off trimming their squad than keeping unhappy players at the club.
You can tell Elanga is desperate to make an impact at United and I'd be all for Rangnick doing whatever it takes to give the Sweden U21 international more chances to impress.
