Marcus Rashford and three Man Utd players Tottenham can target in Erik ten Hag transfer exodus

Fabio Paratici faces a big few months at Tottenham as he gets his plans in place for the 2022/23 campaign. Following the huge success of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski in N17 following their January transfers from Juventus, fans will be expecting more of the same from the Italian come the summer.

So are there any deals Paratici could pull off involving Manchester United this summer? The Red Devils are reportedly set to have a big clearout as they look to rebuild their team under new manager Erik ten Hag, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick admitting after Tuesday's big defeat at Liverpool that the club could need up to 10 new players at Old Trafford for next term.

Given the number of ins and outs expected to take place at the Theatre of Dreams this summer, a number of Premier League clubs may decide to make their move for some of the current squad. football.london take a look at four options Spurs could consider for Antonio Conte.

Dean Henderson

A new goalkeeper looks to be on the agenda for Tottenham this summer. football.london reported earlier in the month Spurs are currently the favourites to tie up a deal to bring 29-year-old West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to the club in July when his contract ends with the Midlands side.

A deal for Johnstone would likely mean the end of Pierluigi Gollini's time at the club as Spurs do have the option to turn his loan from Atlanta into a permanent deal. Henderson could well be part of Manchester United's summer transfer exodus and the shot-stopper has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the past.

Only turning 25 recently and part of the England squad in the past, the Red Devils would demand a decent figure for the ex-Sheffield United loanee if his time in Manchester does come to an end. Spurs would then have to weigh up whether Johnstone on a free or Henderson would be the better acquisition.

Jesse Lingard

One player who looks a certainty to move on this summer is Lingard. The 29-year-old will depart Old Trafford on a free at the end of the season once his contract runs out and he won't be short of offers.

Outstanding in his time with West Ham in 2020/21, a return to east London could be on the cards if David Moyes' men do try and lure him back on a permanent deal ahead of next term. football.london reported in January that Spurs have made contact with the player's camp over a potential move to north London.

A player who would help Tottenham out in terms of homegrown numbers, Lingard would also bolster Spurs' attacking numbers if does end up in N17 come August. The fact he will be on a free transfer as well may be rather appealing.

Marcus Rashford

Rashford's future at Old Trafford has come into question in recent months after a huge drop in form. The player has really struggled to recapture his previous levels and that is going to leave Ten Hag with a decision to make over the 24-year-old.

United's No.10 would not come cheap if he is allowed to leave the Theatre of Dreams, though. An extremely talented player who has wowed in the Premier League since breaking into the team back in 2016, Rashford may just need a fresh move or the opportunity to work under a different manager to hit his stride once again.

Capable of playing as an out-and-out striker or from out wide, a deal for Rashford would also help Spurs out in terms of their homegrown numbers. Conte could just be the man to get him firing on all cylinders again.

Edinson Cavani

One position that needs to be high up on Paratici's summer shopping list is a new out-and-out striker. Spurs need some cover for Harry Kane and Cavani would be a valuable addition to the squad due to his experience in the Premier League and across Europe.

The striker may be 35 now and entering the final years of his career but he has demonstrated in England that he still knows where the back of the net is when given an opportunity in the side. However, the Uruguayan has a decision to make whether he remains in Europe for another campaign or heads back to South America.

Conte has made it clear before about the advantages of signing experienced players and Cavani would bring a wealth of knowledge due to his success in the game. Paratici is also a fan of bringing in a free transfer, something he regularly did during his time with Juventus.
