Holland icon Marco van Basten has warned Ryan Gravenberch over a move to Liverpool - describing it as "much too big".
A report from The Times at the weekend claimed that Jurgen Klopp's side are "stepping up" their interest in the 20-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder. A further report from The Mirror suggested that the wage demands of the former Ajax youngster would not deter - despite supposedly earning £100,000-a-week after tax in Germany.
The same report stated that Gravenberch would be open to joining the Reds. But AC Milan legend Van Basten thinks his compatriot would be making a bad decision.

"Liverpool is much too big for him," the 58-year-old told Ziggo Sport. "These young guys go to the big clubs way too quickly.
"They think they are quite something, but when you get to those kinds of club they all say when you enter the dressing room: 'let’s see it'.
"You have to really push yourself. Your fellow team-mates see you as a competitor. If you are good, you will succeed. But you need to have good people around you. A lot of Dutch players underestimate it."
There has been rumours that Holland international Gravenberch has grown unhappy in his debut campaign in Bavaria after struggling to usurp the likes of Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich in the Munich midfield.
