Marco Silva has warned that Fulham have become over-reliant on Aleksandar Mitrovic's goals.
The Cottagers have made a strong start to the season but they owe a lot to their top scorer, who has seven goals in nine Premier League games.
Fulham are without a win in three matches going into tonight’s meeting with Aston Villa and they have not kept a clean sheet since August. Silva wants them to be more defensively solid, and less reliant on Mitrovic.
He said: "It's nice that all the focus is on him because it means we have an important player in that position and he has all the trust from us. But the others should score more as well, that's the wingers and midfielders."
Villa visit Craven Cottage sitting above the relegation zone on goal difference only and manager Steven Gerrard is under pressure.
Games this week against Fulham and Brentford may seal Gerrard's fate and Villa could make an ambitious attempt to appoint Mauricio Pochettino if the Liverpool legend is sacked.
But Villa will face a huge task to convince Pochettino to get back into management with the Midlands club.
