Marco Silva confirms latest Fulham team news ahead of West Ham clash

Marco Silva has confirmed both Joachim Anderson and Reiss Nelson will be in his Fulham squad for the London derby with West Ham.

The Cottagers meet the Hammers on Saturday having completed a late move to bring in Nelson on loan from Arsenal.

Anderson is yet to play in the Premier League for Fulham following his £30m move from Crystal Palace, while £20m arrival from Burnley Sander Berge has only made an appearance off the bench.

And when asked if Anderson or Nelson would feature against West Ham, Silva said: “Both are going to be involved in the squad list, like Sander, like some of the others, and it’s up to me to make a decision.

“(Jorge) Cuenca is more than ready to play. We are really pleased to have him with us. And (with Nelson) we’ll take the time that he needs to adapt, but we can feel straight away that he’s a skillful player and he’s going to help us.”

"If I am not happy then I will change and that is what you expect. It is clear that some of our signings were late in the window and it takes time. It is not easy for them to come and start playing straight away. They have to show their quality but it takes time to adapt."

Fulham thrashed West Ham 5-0 in this fixture last season, but Silva believes they are a different proposition under Julen Lopetegui this campaign.

"West Ham have quality in all positions,” he added. “You can see straight away that Julen is trying to get them to play a different way.

“I know the manager well and he will be trying to put his stamp on the football club. You can see they are starting to play his way and he is changing the style. They can punish you as they have top-quality players.

“It will require top concentration from us. It will be a tough game, the first London derby of the season."
