Marco Asensio 'makes Liverpool decision' amid £34m transfer rumours

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Marco Asensio, but apparently the Real Madrid forward is apparently not keen on the idea.

Reports first linked the Reds with the Spain international over the weekend, with it being suggested that the La Liga giants could be open to selling the player. A fee in the region of €40million (£34) has also been mentioned in various reports.

However, according to Spanish news outlet Diario Sport, Asensio himself is not keen on the idea of moving to Liverpool. In fact, the report states that the 26-year-old fancies a move to a different country.

It has been claimed that Asensio would rather move to Italy, with AC Milan his preference. This is the same club who are looking increasingly likely to be signing Divock Origi this summer, when his contract at Liverpool expires.

Liverpool have already been relatively busy in the transfer market this summer, bringing in three new faces. Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez and Calvin Ramsay have all been added to Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the new campaign.

Following the recent arrival of Ramsay, Anfield insiders have indicated that Liverpool are done and dusted with their incoming transfer business. It is thought that after the three aforementioned signings, the Reds have acquired the players they hoped to sign going into the window.
