March 3, 2025: How toxic air affects the Red Fort and tourists

Red Fort is one of the busiest sites of historical significance in the national capital. But toxic air impacts both tourists as well as the Mughal era monument. In 2018, the Archaeological Survey of India had removed a two-metre-thick layer that had been formed over a century due to dust and other air pollutants.

On Monday, PM2.5 levels hovered around 60 while PM10 was pegged at around 70 at the site. In this episode of Aaj Ka AQI, Sumedha Mittal looks at what this means.
