Marcelo Bielsa waits on Stuart Dallas injury as Leeds United teammate details 'massive blow'

Leeds United fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday, as Seamus Coleman, Michael Keane and Anthony Gordon all netted in a Goodison Park clash where the Whites were undoubtedly second-best.

As well as the painful scoreline, Leeds also suffered another loss in the shape of the ever-present Stuart Dallas leaving the field injured during the first ten minutes of the match.

The Northern Irishman appeared to hurt himself in a challenge with Alex Iwobi and tried to play on for a few minutes before realising that he was unable to continue. This meant him coming off for the first time since he was substituted in the 78th minute of the home fixture against Watford in October.

Until today, this remained the only time he didn't complete 90 minutes in a Premier League fixture this season. While injuries have been sustained by almost every other important first-team player, Dallas has been one who has always been able to continue but this was not the case at Goodison Park.

On post-match press duties, Daniel James was asked how losing a key player in Dallas affected the team.

"A massive blow," he told LUTV. "Stuey’s a great player and he plays all over the pitch. Hopefully he’s not out for too long."

Following the defeat, Marcelo Bielsa was quizzed on Dallas' condition but was unable to give a thorough answer.

"I cannot answer you yet because I haven't had the report yet," he said in his post-match press conference.

The Whites head coach should be able to shed more light on the problem when he speaks ahead of next weekend's visit of Manchester United.

Should Dallas be unavailable he will join Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford on the list of players Bielsa is unable to call upon at this time.
