Earlier on Sunday it was confirmed that Leeds United had sacked Marcelo Bielsa after nearly four years in charge.
The 66-year-old departs Elland Road on the back of a dismal run in form, that culminated with Saturday’s 4-0 home loss to Tottenham Hotspur, which has left the Whites just two points above the relegation zone.
Regardless of how it ended, Bielsa’s time at the club will be fondly remembered by Leeds supporters, as it was the Argentine who successfully oversaw the club’s return to the Premier League after 16 years away from the top flight.
