Marcel Sabitzer has told Manchester United fans they can expect him to be a combative presence in midfield and to test the opposition goalkeeper.
The 28-year-old completed a loan move to Old Trafford on deadline day and will spend the rest of the campaign with Erik ten Hag's side. United acted swiftly on Tuesday to bring in the Austrian midfielder from Bayern Munich after Christian Eriksen was ruled out for three months.
Sabitzer has played 54 games for Bayern in the last 18 months, but he's found regular action harder to come by this season and has played just one minute for the club since November.

He's scored twice for Bayern, but had an eye for goal during his time at RB Leipzig, scoring 52 goals in 229 appearances, and it's the creative side of his game that he mentioned when describing his style.
“I played a lot of roles in the past but my focus is in the midfield, box-to-box player, being creative in the offensive third. You can have a lot of expectations from me; good shots, duels. I’m excited to be on the pitch at Old Trafford," he said.
"I love shooting, I’ve done a lot [of free-kicks] in the past, I have a good technique with shots so maybe I can be one of the guys [taking them].”
Sabitzer could make his United debut against Crystal Palace on Saturday, with Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay out injured. The 68-cap Austria international believes he is at the peak of his powers at the minute and is excited by the challenge at Old Trafford.
"I’ve had good development in the past so I think I’m at a good age, I’ve had a lot of experience, I feel comfortable," he said. "I have a past at big clubs and I feel good now and I think it’s the right time for this step.”
The midfielder is also looking forward to working under Ten Hag and believes they share a similar approach.
"Keep going every single day, put it all out [there] in training sessions, that’s why I’m here," he said. "I like the way he plays, his teams play, he’s a good coach and I’m looking forward to meeting him and playing under him.”
