Marc Cucurella has already shown Manchester City and Pep Guardiola the fighting spirit he possesses ahead of a potential move to the Etihad Stadium.
The Brighton and Hove Albion left-back is reportedly on the radar of Guardiola this summer as the City boss looks for possible replacements for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is attracting interest from other clubs. Cucurella enjoyed a positive spell at Brighton last season after making the switch from Getafe in the summer.
The 23-year-old made 38 appearances in all competitions for the Seagulls and showed his versatility by playing as both a full-back and centre-back for Graham Potter's men. Another characteristic that would have sprung to the attention of Guardiola is Cucurella's determination and commitment.

Speaking to Marca back in April, Cucurella demonstrated his spirit when discussing his time in football so far. He said: "In the end, what I was looking for was to play as a full-back, which is what I have done all my life.
"There were people who said I couldn’t play as a full-back because I couldn’t defend. But now I’m proving I can even play as a centre-back in a back three."
His ability to prove critics wrong, as well as be versatile, will appeal to City who would be looking for him to potentially fill the boots of Zinchenko, should the Ukrainian decide to seek a new challenge this summer.
